Usage rules
Platform vs. actual parking
Parkyvo is a software coordination tool. We are not parking operators and have no physical control over spots. Traffic rules, signage, and owners' association regulations remain in effect regardless of what appears in the app.
Your obligations
- Use the platform only for legitimate parking management purposes
- Follow the specific rules of your community
- Report any issues or abusive behavior
Reservations and requests
The system allows two types of reservations, each with its own rules:
Common spots
Common spots are managed by community administration and intended for visitors or temporary needs.
- Creation: You can request a common spot for a limited period (according to community settings)
- Approval: The request can be approved automatically or by an admin, depending on configuration
- Maximum duration: Each community sets the maximum allowed duration
- Cancellation: You can cancel a reservation anytime before it starts
- Expiration: The reservation automatically expires at the set end time
Private spots
Private spot owners can make their spot available to other members.
- Availability: The owner specifies the intervals when the spot is free
- Acceptance: Can be automatic or at the owner's approval
- Obligation: If you offer the spot, you must vacate it on time for the person who reserved
- Cancellation: Both parties can cancel, but frequent cancellations may be monitored
Important: Parkyvo provides coordination tools (notifications, contact), but cannot guarantee physical spot vacation. If someone doesn't vacate the spot on time, you can contact them through the app or escalate to community admins.
Conduct and prohibitions
To maintain a safe and respectful environment, the following are strictly prohibited:
- Harassment, threats, or intimidation of other members
- Stalking or monitoring the behavior of others
- Publishing or distributing personal data of others
- Abusive correlation of license plates with people's identities
- Creating fake or multiple accounts
- Any form of discrimination
